Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. The quote tool asks for gender, date of birth, general health status, tobacco use, the coverage amount you want, and the term length you prefer. Those six answers are enough to receive quotes from carriers. Your name, address and full health details are collected only if you choose to move forward with an application.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

The monthly rate shown is what each carrier quotes for the health class you selected. The carrier confirms your final class and premium through underwriting, which may improve or change it. Quotes on this site are estimates for information only, not an offer of insurance or a promise of a specific price.

What happens when I click Apply?

You choose a quote and enter your name to start the application, which is then created from the exact carrier and coverage you selected. The application continues on the carriers' secure platform where you provide underwriting details and sign electronically. You can pause and return later. The application is handled by Susman Insurance Agency, a licensed California agency (License 0B75129).

Will I need a medical exam?

It depends on the carrier, the amount, and your answers. Many carriers now offer immediate decisions for eligible applicants without a medical exam. Each quote on this site indicates whether an exam is required, possibly required, or not required for that product.

Is a longer term better?

A term should last as long as the need it covers: a mortgage, children at home, or a business loan. Longer terms cost more per month but lock in the rate for more years. The quote tool lets you compare 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 year options side by side to see which length matches your situation.

Does this site sell my information?

No. The quote tool does not collect contact information, we do not sell or share your visitor data, and our site measurement uses no cookies. See the privacy page for the exact details of what is collected and who collects it.
